Job Description We are seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to support the development, implementation, and oversight of cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance initiatives within an education-focused organization. What you'll do
- Support development of cybersecurity governance initiatives
- Assist with implementation of cybersecurity frameworks
- Ensure adherence to state and federal cybersecurity requirements
- Support risk management activities
- Work with cybersecurity leadership on compliance initiatives
- Provide oversight of cybersecurity governance programs
- Assist in security policy implementation and enforcement
What you'll need
- Knowledge of cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) principles
- Familiarity with NIST cybersecurity framework
- Familiarity with Texas Cybersecurity Framework
- Understanding of state and federal cybersecurity requirements
- Education sector knowledge preferred
- Relevant cybersecurity certification (Security+, CISSP, or equivalent)
